Cookie Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. Besides the small amount of storage needed to make the site work, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used, and the Microsoft Advertising and Google Ads tags to see which adverts lead to an enquiry. The advertising tags are set by Microsoft and Google, who may use them to recognise your browser on other sites. We never sell your details, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you for anyone else.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage) work in a comparable way. They can be set by us (first-party) or by a third-party service we use.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

A small amount of essential storage is used to make the site work and to remember your cookie choice so we do not ask you on every visit. We also note, for the length of your visit only, which page you arrived on and whether you came from a search result or an advert, so that an enquiry you send us can be matched to it. None of this identifies you, none of it is shared, and it is discarded when you close the tab.

Analytics: Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity helps us understand how visitors use the site through aggregated statistics, heatmaps and session replays, so we can improve it. Clarity is provided by Microsoft. It typically sets cookies such as _clck and _clsk, and a CLID identifier set by clarity.ms. You can read how Microsoft handles this data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Advertising: Microsoft Advertising and Google Ads

We advertise on Bing and Google. Both platforms give us a tag that tells us when someone who clicked an advert went on to request an offer, so we can stop paying for adverts that do not work. The Microsoft Advertising UET tag sets cookies such as _uetsid and _uetvid. The Google Ads tag sets cookies such as _gcl_au, and Google may also read cookies it has already set on your browser. Because these are set by Microsoft and Google, they can be used to recognise your browser on other websites in their networks. You can read how each handles this data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement and Google's advertising policies.

Managing your choices

When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject optional cookies. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which will bring the banner back, or by using the "Cookie settings" link in our footer. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some essential features may then not work as intended.

You can opt out of personalised advertising directly with each provider, through Microsoft's ad settings and Google's ad settings.
